In 2015, 193 world leaders committed to 17 Global Goals to achieve extraordinary things in the next 15 years. The Goals stimulate action in three critical areas of importance:
1) End poverty and hunger, in all their forms and dimensions, to ensure that all human beings can fulfill their potential in dignity and equality and in a healthy environment.
2) Protect the planet from degradation, including sustainable consumption and production, and manage its natural resources, so that it can support the needs of the present and future generations.
3) Ensure that all human beings can enjoy prosperous and fulfilling lives and that economic, social, and technological progress occurs in harmony with nature.
